DTP and Graphic Works

Lots of translation projects require additional works to be done once the translation itself is complete, especially if they are going to be printed. Even though that nowadays most of the DTP applications allow translating the source file directly, there will always be requirement for a final touch, such as layout update, formatting changes, correct page breaks etc., which should be done by someone knowing the language and the application as well.

My knowledge of Desktop Publishing and Graphics related applications includes Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw and others.

I offer Desktop Publishing (DTP) services primarily as an addition to my translation and localization jobs. It usually requires typesetting according to the original document and preparing it for printing. This includes for example correct arrangement and positioning of individual elements, line wrapping and checking for potentially corrupted special characters.

I am not able to keep all the DTP application licenses up-to-date, as it would ruin my budget, so I cooperate with a small DTP studio, where I can use their equipment for a reasonable renting price. I believe this allows me to have a bit lower hourly price than if I would need to license them all.
